Posted Thursday, April 26, 2007 by Tony Frascogna
Marcus Stroman threw his second consecutive complete game shutout in a 4-0 win over William Floyd. Stroman allowed four hits, two walks and struckout four. He also contributed at the plate with three hits including two doubles and a single. Mike Smith's RBI double in the second inning proved to be the game-winner and the only run the Raiders would need. The win gave the Raiders a sweep of William Floyd and a playoff spot for the fifth consecutive year. Mike Bazoge led a strong defensive effort for the Raiders, highlighted by his 6-6-3 double play in the seventh inning which thwarted a Floyd rally. The win moves the Raiders to 9-3 in
League I.
