Monaco Singles the Raiders Into the Playoffs

The Raiders earned a playoff berth on Thursday afternoon with a walk-off win over William Floyd. The win gave the Raiders a sweep over William Floyd. A series in which the Raiders scored 41 runs in the three games.

In the bottom of the fifth inning with the Raiders trailing 5-3, Chris Phelan's double drove in Dom Dipresso, who had singled to lead off the inning, to make the score 5-4. Nick Monaco's sac fly drove in Mike Smith, who was 2 for 4 on the day, with the tying run.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, Nick Monaco singled in Joe Pasqualino, who pinch ran for Dan Farrell after a leadoff walk, with the winning run.

Monaco also earned the victory in relief, pitching two scoreless innings. It was his second win in relief to go along with two saves on the year.

The win moved the Raiders into the playoffs by improving their League I record to 9-0.
