Hauppauge came from behind to defeat Pat-Med friday afternoon at Hauppauge HS. The Raiders scored first when Frank Capraro singled home Justin Mercurio, who had doubled. Matt Vogel then doubled to score Capraro. The Raiders kept Hauppauge off the board with help of a Dan D'Onofrio pick off at second and Tyler Lawrence made a strong throw from centerfield to throw a runner out at the plate.
After the Eagles scored two in the bottom of the third, Mercurio led off in the top of the fourh with a deep home run to left. The Raiders added to their lead after Vogel reached on an error, stole second, moved to third on a fielder's choice and scored on Tyler Moston's sacrifice fly. The lead would not stand as the Hauppauge rallied in the sixth,scoring 5 times. The Raider's would cut the lead in the top of the seventh when Tom Rubinstein singled home Chris VanEron. The team lost by a final of 7-5. The final non league game of the season takes place on Saturday at 11am against Smithtown West at Home.
