Patchogue-Medford pounded Brentwood on Wednesday 12-2 at Brentwood State Park in eight innings.
Patchogue-Medford scored six runs in the third on an RBI double by Matt Vogel, an RBI triple by Chris Van Eron, a two-run double by Peter Agnetti, an RBI single by Tom Palmese, and a sacrifice fly by Erich Carroll.
Agnetti racked up five RBIs on two hits for Patchogue-Medford.
Peter Martino recorded the win for Patchogue-Medford. He allowed two runs over five innings. The Patchogue-Medford pitcher struck out eight, walked three and surrendered six hits.
Andrew Garcia rose to the occasion out of the bullpen, hurling two innings of shutout ball while racking up one strikeout and giving up one hit and one walk.
Agnetti, Frankie Capraro, Carroll, Jack Keough, Peter Link, Martino, Justin Mercurio, Palmese, Nick Stumpo, Van Eron, and Vogel all collected hits forPatchogue-Medford. Mercurio led the team with three hits.
After posting one run in the third, Brentwood again scored one in the fifth. In the third, Brentwood scored on an RBI double by Acosta, scoring Maselli.
Patchogue-Medford piled on five more runs in the top of the fourth. Van Eronstarted the inning with a single, bringing home Martino. That was followed up by Mercurio's single, scoring Vogel.
