Fifth-inning rally sparks blowout win for Patchogue-Medford, 10-2

Patchogue-Medford took down Brentwood 10-2 on Friday at Pat-Med High School after slamming Brentwood with six runs in the fifth inning.



Matt Vogel racked up four RBIs on three hits for Patchogue-Medford. He singled in the second inning, doubled in the fourth inning, and homered in the fifth inning.



Dan Tierney worked out of four tough spots for Patchogue-Medford. He pitched six innings and allowed one earned run on four hits. Tierney faced his most difficult moment in the fourth inning.


Patchogue-Medford stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the second, scoring two runs on an RBI double by Danny D'Onofrio and a sacrifice fly by Erich Carroll.
