No-No for Vogel

Matt Vogel threw a 20 strikeout no-hitter in a 6-0 win at home over Brentwood. It was the first no-hitter for the Raiders since 1995 when Jim Schneider threw a perfect game against Longwood. Matt threw only 93 pitches, 66 strikes, in the contest which took place in front of a host of MLB scouts. The Raiders scored all the runs they would need in the first when Tyler Conlon tripled to deep left center driving home Richie Ciufo and Andrew Garcia. The team struck again in the 2nd when Vogel hit a long three run homer run. John Shwonik recorded the only non strikeout by catching a line drive in the fourth.
