The Raiders's bats go quiet in 2-1 loss to Longwood

Dan Tierney allowed just one run on Monday at Patchogue-Medford High School, but the Raiders couldn't get the offense going in a 2-1 defeat to Longwood.

Killackey got the win in relief for Longwood. Killackey pitched five innings and allowed no runs.

Longwood jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second. Longwood got things going when Weiss doubled. A single by Orologio then moved Weiss from second to third.

In the seventh inning, the Raiders pushed across their only run of the day on an RBI single by Andrew Garcia.

Longwood stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the twelfth, scoring one run on a fielder's choice.
