Raiders Finish at .500

The Raiders shut the door early on William Floyd, capturing an 11-4 victory on Thursday at Lincoln Ave. Complex.

Eight runs in the first three innings allowed the Raiders to put the game away early.

A three-run home run by Tyler Conlon in the first inning and a sacrifice fly byRich Ciufo during the second inning fueled the Raiders' offense early.


Matt Vogel racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Raiders. He singled in the third inning and tripled in the fifth inning.


Jeff Faulkner recorded the win for the Raiders. He pitched one shutout inning. Faulkner struck out none, walked two and gave up no hits.

The Raiders added four more runs in the top of the third. Brett Malm singled, plating Conlon to start the inning.

A three-run third inning helped bring William Floyd within five. An RBI double by Gerena, an RBI double by C Russo, and an RBI single by Arnold fueled William Floyd's comeback. Finally, Browning induced an inning-ending ground out from Faison.

The Raiders piled on three more runs in the top of the fifth. A triple by Vogel ignited the offense,, bringing home John Shwonik and Ciufo. That was followed up by Andrew Garcia's single, scoring Vogel.
