The Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity escape William Floyd behindTristan Amone's 4 strikeouts, 7-0

An ace performance by Tristan Amone hoisted the Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity to a 7-0 win in seven innings over William Floyd on Wednesday at Patchogue-Medford High School.

Tristan was in control on the mound. William Floyd managed just one hit off of Amone, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his seven innings of work.

Five runs in the first three innings helped the Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity blow out William Floyd. An RBI single by Andrew Garcia and a two-run single by Matt Codispoti during the first inning and an RBI double by Rich Ciufo in the second inning helped the Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity put some runs on the board early.

 

Matt racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity.

 

Brucki took the loss for William Floyd. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed five runs.

The Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity increased their lead with two runs in the sixth. Rich's single got things going, scoring John Shwonik. That was followed up by Zach Genaway's double, bringing home PJ Martino.
