Monday was a great day for Nick Clemente, as Nick threw a shutout to carry the Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity to a 1-0 victory over Brentwood at Brentwood State Park in seven innings.

The Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity's Nick kept Brentwood off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up five.

Zach Genaway pushed the Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity ahead, in the seventh inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. Andrew Garcia singled to get on base in the seventh. He then went from first to second.

Pierce was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed one run.
