The Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity get late runs to finish offBrentwood, 12-3

The Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity beat Brentwood 12-3 on Thursday thanks to an 11-run seventh inning.

 

The game was back-and-forth heading into the seventh, with five lead changes.

The Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity finally managed to grab the lead after a strong seventh inning. The Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity went up for good on a three-run double by Zach Genaway off Joe Maselli, platingAndrew GarciaJohn Shwonik and Matt Codispoti.

 

 

Zach Genaway racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity.

 

PJ Martino got it done on the bump on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over six innings. PJ struck out eight, walked one and gave up two hits.

Joe was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 12 runs in five innings, walked four and struck out one.

The lead was the Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity's to lose after seventh inning. More runs came home on an RBI double by PJ, an error, two hit into a fielder's choices, and four singles.
