Deja Vu For The Raider/Bulls Rivalry

Posted Wednesday, April 23, 2014 by Tony Frascogna
In what seemed like a flashback to the last time the Raiders played at Smithtown West, a playoff game in 2009, PM found themselves down 4 - 0 after the first inning.  Like that day the Raiders found a way to win.  PJ Martino settled down to pitch a solid 4 and 2/3 innings.  Matt Codispoti led the charge in the comeback, homering to left in the second.

PJ an John Shwonik each had three hits in the win. Matt wound up 2 for 3 with 2 runs and 2 rbi's.  Tristan Amone had two hits and two rbi.  Andy Garcia reached base all four at bats with 2 walks and 2 hits.

Josh Browning entered the game with two outs and the bases loaded in the fifth with the Raiders leading 6-4 and induced a inning ending ground out.  He went on to pick up his second save by pitching 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief.  The win improves the Raiders to 7-7 overall on the season.
