Andrew Garcia came up big at the dish and on the mound, leading the Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity to a 13-2 win over Sachem East on Thursday at Sachem East High School.

Andrew put himself in scoring position with three extra-base hits for the Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity. He singled in the first inning, homered in the fourth inning, and doubled in the third and fifth innings.

The Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity relied on Andrew to eat up innings en route to the win. Andrew allowed one earned run, seven hits and no walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.

The Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity blew out Sachem East thanks to 16 hits, including six extra base hits. The Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity built upon their lead with four runs in the third. A passed ball scored PJ Martino for the inning's first run. That was followed up by Andrew's double, scoring Zach Genaway.
