The Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity starter PJ Martino doesn't need much help when he is on the bump and he showed it on Tuesday at Longwood High School against Longwood. Seven strong innings by Martino carried the Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity to a 2-1 victory over Longwood in seven innings.

Weiss ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out nine, and allowed two runs.

In the third inning, Longwood pushed across its only run of the day on an RBI single by Weiss.

The game's last lead went to the Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity thanks to a fifth inning rally that saw two runs cross the plate on an RBI double byJon Warasila and an RBI single by Rich Ciufo.
