The Raiders survive William Floyd4-3 thanks to Josh Mercurio's late-game heroics

Josh Mercurio brought home the winning run to give the Raiders the lead in the sixth inning, as the Raiders hung on to beat William Floyd 4-3 on Monday.

Ronny Linsalato singled to get on base in the sixth. He then went from first to second.

 

Andrew Garcia worked out of seven difficult moments for the Raiders. He pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run on three hits. Garcia faced his trickiest spot in the sixth inning.

 

Cruz ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.

The Raiders broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning, pushing across fourth. The Raiders scored on a fielder's choice and an RBI single by Linsalato.

The Raiders got one-run rallies in the fifth inning and the sixth. In the fifth, the Raiders scored on an RBI single by Rich Ciufo, plating Josh Mercurio.
