The Raiders go deep 3 times in 7-3 win over William Floyd
Big blasts bring people to their feet, and the Raiders certainly provided a bunch of entertainment on Tuesday at William Floyd High School three home runs powered the Raiders to a 7-3 victory in seven innings over William Floyd.
Home runs for the Raiders came when Brett Malm
homered in the first inning, Matt Codispoti
homered in the first inning, and Ronny Linsalato
homered in the fifth inning.
Codispoti racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Raiders. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third and fifth innings.
Tristan Amone got the win for the Raiders. He allowed three runs over seven innings. Amone struck out eight, walked none and gave up 10 hits.
Pickard ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed seven runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out three.
The Raiders never trailed after scoring three runs in the first on two solo home runs.
William Floyd scored two runs in the bottom of the second to cut its deficit to one. An RBI single by Rodriguez and an RBI single by Pickard sparked William Floyd's rally. James McAleavy flew out to end the William Floyd threat.
A one-run fifth inning helped bring William Floyd within four. fueled William Floyd's comeback. Finally, Amone got Bradley to fly out to end the threat.
