William Floyd falls 12-1 at the hands of the Raiders
The Raiders beat William Floyd on Thursday 12-1 at Patchogue-Medford High School in seven innings.
The Raiders scored scored in the fifth on an RBI double by Josh Mercurio, a hit by pitch, a hit by pitch, and a two-run single by Zach Genaway.
Andrew Garcia racked up four RBIs and one hit for the Raiders.
Josh Browning got the win for the Raiders thanks to six strikeouts. Josh Browning allowed one earned run, three hits and one walk over six innings.
Lazar was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked one and struck out five.
The Raiders didn't relinquish the lead after scoring one run in the second inning when they scored on a groundout by Ronny Linsalato.
The Raiders matched their three-run third inning with three more in the fourth. In the third, the Raiders scored on a three-run home run by Garcia, plating Brad Malm and Brett Malm.
The Raiders scored on an RBI single by Josh Mercurio, a bases loaded walk by Malm, and an error.
