Josh Browning goes 7 but theRaiders lose to Ward Melville 2-1
Josh Browning allowed just two runs on Thursday at Patchogue-Medford High School, but the Raiders couldn't get the offense going in a 2-1 defeat to Ward Melville.
Ward Melville couldn't get anything going as long as Josh Browning was pitching. Ward Melville managed just two hits off of Browning, who allowed two earned runs, walked four and struck out six during his seven innings of work.
Flynn got the win for Ward Melville. He allowed one run over seven innings. He struck out six, walked three and surrendered four hits.
Josh Browning was charged with the loss.
Ward Melville didn't relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the third inning when it scored on a two-run home run by Flynn.
