Andrew Garcia hurls gem, but theRaiders's bats go quiet in 1-0 loss to Commack
Andrew Garcia allowed just one run on Tuesday at Patchogue-Medford High School, but the Raiders couldn't get the offense going in a 1-0 defeat to Commack.
Garcia was a workhorse on the bump for the Raiders. Garcia allowed no earned runs, three hits and two walks while striking out one over seven innings of work.
Doerschug recorded the win for Commack. He pitched seven shutout innings. Doerschug struck out two, walked one and gave up four hits.
Garcia took the loss for the Raiders.
In the third inning, Commack pushed across its only run of the day on an error.
