Rich Ciufo went 3-3 at the plate as the Raiders took home a 3-0 victory over Commack in seven innings at Patchogue-Medford High School on Monday.
He singled in the second, fourth, and fifth innings.
The Raiders' Andrew Garcia kept Commack off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the rubber. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on four hits while ringing up two.
Doerschug ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
The game's last lead went to the Raiders thanks to a fourth inning rally that saw two runs cross the plate on a sacrifice fly by Ronny Linsalato and an RBI single by Vito Morabito.
