The Raiders defeat Northport 5-1
Brett Malm drove in three runs as the Raiders took home a 5-1 victory over Northport in seven innings at Patchogue-Medford High School on Saturday.
He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.
Andrew Garcia was a workhorse on the bump while bagging the win for the Raiders. Garcia allowed one earned run, six hits and three walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.
Herrmann was charged with the loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
The Raiders never trailed after scoring two runs in the first on a two-run home run by Matt Codispoti.
The second inning saw Northport score its only run on the day on an RBI single by Stockman.
