Posted Tuesday, May 09, 2006 by Tony Frascogna

It took a total team effort as TJ Phelan set the program record for regular season wins. TJ went 5 innings and battled a tough Ward Melville team at Baseball Heaven. The 5-4 victory was TJ's 5th of the season. James Floro pitched 2 scoreless innings of relief picking up his 4th save. The offense was led by Ryan Carroll (2 hits), Frank DiPresso (2 runs), Mike Salvatore (2 RBI's), Billy Garofalo (2 hits) and Nick Izzo (2 hits, 1 RBI). Jimmy Fuoco doubled to led off the 5th inning. The 4 run inning was capped by Marcus Stroman's bases loaded walk. Marcus led the defense, he was involved with all three outs in the seventh including a spectacular catch of a fly ball hit down the leftfield foul line. The win improves the Raider's record to 11-2 in League I.
