Brad Malm went 2-4, sparking the Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity to a 7-2 victory in seven innings over Longwood on Tuesday at Longwood HS.

He doubled in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.


Josh Rovner got the win for the Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity thanks to seven strikeouts. Josh Rovner allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks over seven innings.


Parson was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked four and struck out none.

The lead stayed with the Patchogue-Medford Raiders Varsity after the second, when they scored seven runs on a two-run double by Malm and three singles.

A one-run fourth inning helped bring Longwood within six. An RBI single by Fitzpatrick gave Longwood life. The Longwood (Middle Island, NY) threat came to an end when Josh Rovner finally got Garcia to fly out.

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the sixth, Longwood faced just a 7-2 deficit. A groundout by Alfano fueled Longwood 's comeback. Finally, Josh Rovner induced an inning-ending ground out from Fitzpatrick.
