Posted Thursday, May 19, 2016 by Tony Frascogna
With a loss in an elimination game to Hauppauge on Wednesday, the Raiders season ends with a 13-10 record.  Brad Malm was selected as an All County Player.  He hit safely in every regular season game, a program first.  He also set the assists record at 75.  The record was previously held by Marcus Stroman.  He also joined the leader board for hits, doubles and runs scored.  Eric Roubal and Tristan Amone were named All League and Josh Rovner was selected as an Academic All League for his work on the field and in the classroom.  Dan Codispoti also took over the record for the most times being hit by pitch (10) and also tied for most sacrifices(5).  Malm and Andrew Ciufo also turned 18 double plays on the season.  Josh Mercurio will receive the county's courage award for his memorable return after his devasting car accident.
